Jennybird graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in the mid nineties and lives in SF. Jennybird's works are keyhole views into a fairytale land where sugar and spice and everything nice isn't all that its cracked up to be and are a glimpse into a larger world just beyond the edges of the painting, where a darker side of nature is dripping with sweetness and the two aspects are intrinsically connected. She constantly redefines this ‘world’ by use of the recurring themes of death, the heart and rebirth. Jennybird's work is strongly influenced by the early impressions made by the Brothers Grimm and a lifelong love of furry and feathered creatures.
