Heather Lowe
My artwork is grounded in visual perception. My earliest studies include Goethe, Josef Albers, Yaacov Agam, Julian Stanczak, Jesús Rafael Soto and Bridget Riley. In the early 1960s, Op Art and Kinetic Art revealed objectivity and a new interest in observation. This generation dedicated itself to the study of visual phenomena and principles of perception. Through optical painting, stereo imagery and the use of the lenticular medium my desire is to deepen our knowledge and restore appreciation of perception, visual illusion and color interaction in space.
