Franklin Londin
Stereo photography has the unique and magical ability not only to show you a picture of an event
that has passed, but to draw you into the space of that past. You are not simply remembering the
event from a flat image of it, as in the average 2D photograph, you are reliving the depth of that
moment by the active engagement of your eyes and your brain. To me, it is time traveling.
Franklin Londin is a two time Academy Award winner for his work on the effects animation teams of
Titanic and Spiderman2. His passion is shooting stereo (3D) photography and sharing that passion
with others. Through his work he wants to remind people of the amazing blessing of sight.
His interactive stereo display sculptures are meant to be touched and enjoyed.
Franklin is a member of the Stereo Club of Southern California.
